参考物质和标准物质区别
要想弄明白上述所有的名词术语，我们先要了解参考物质/标准物质（reference material，RM）这个术语。大家切记：无论是参考物质，还是标准物质，对应的英文术语只有一个，那就是reference material，缩写RM。

如何有效地区分标准品和对照品
根据试验方法
即使是同一种物质的标准品和对照品，它们的规格、用途、标定方法也可能是不同的，我们可以根据实验方法来进行选择。例如，当用微生物法测定头孢克罗效价时，用的是头孢克罗标准品，用HPLC或UV法测定时，则用其对照品；非那西丁当用作熔点校准物质时，用其标准品，测定含量时，用其对照品。
根据说明书
《中国药典》凡例明确规定：“标准品与对照品均应附有使用说明书，一般应标明批号、特性量值、用途、使用方法、贮藏条件和装量等。”因此，在日常实验过程中，应仔细阅读说明书，根据相关内容来确定标准物质的使用范围，避免违规操作。
